Instead of a review, this time around I’ll give you 10 reasons why you need to check out IRON MAN 3 in order to keep things fun and entertaining, just how I felt while I was watching the movie at a screening on Monday night.
10. If you haven’t seen any of the previous IRON MAN movies, you’re good.
You know how sometimes when you’re watching a sequel, it feels as if at one point the audience knows an inside joke that you don’t know? Well, don’t be afraid! If you haven’t seen IRON MAN or IRON MAN 2, chances are that you will understand the film in its entirety and have a good time! I can actually tell you this because I went to see the movie with someone that hasn’t seen any of the previous IRON MAN films.
9. It picks up right after THE AVENGERS.
I mean, we all kind of knew this one, right? But truth to be told, I thought that during the IRON MAN slot of the Marvel cinematic universe, that this would take place a couple of years in the future. As a matter of fact, the movie actually goes back in time to 1999 and then goes to the present where Tony Stark is troubled with anxiety after the events that happened while he was part of THE AVENGERS initiative. But like I said, if you haven’t seen IRON MAN or THE AVENGERS, you’ll still understand.
8. Aldrich Killian

Guy Pearce brings the character of Dr. Aldrich Killian to life and also the Extremis story line from the Marvel comic books. As usual, some changes from the comic book were made in the film; however, my favorite is definitely a 360° that Aldrich pulls off. Bravo!
7. Iron Patriot and the other Iron Man…Men?
It’s like Captain America and Iron Man had a baby, and Colonel James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) is wearing him representing the land of the brave. Oh, and we’re introduced to a whole new bunch of Iron Man, Iron Men? YOU GO AMERICA!
6. The right amount of comedy and action.

Throughout the film people were clapping, cheering, and laughing, this could have only been done with characters like Tony Snark Stark and a supporting cast that provided comedic relief during its 130 minutes. Shane Black brings back Tony Stark to a post-Avengers reality.
5. Pepper Potts
IRON MAN has never been the type of movie that focuses too much on the romantic relationship aspect; however, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) is a force to be reckoned with in IRON MAN 3.
4. You either love or hate The Mandarin

Thank you Marvel, for making villains on film seem… likable. I’m looking at you, Loki. After watching the film, please leave a comment here with your opinion of The Mandarin. As far as I’m concerned, there has been some buzz about this character in particular.
3. The third act of the film is the best act.
If you think that first and second act might be dragging a bit, the third action-packed act will definitely make up for it.
2. Stay after the credits!
Wait after the really long credits are over for an extra scene. You clever Marvel, you.
1.Because everyone will be talking about the movie by Monday.
