‘Transformers 4’ May Feature Female Lead

By now you’ve heard the great news, there will be, indeed, a “Transformers 4” movie! Although Michael Bay said that “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” would be the last movie in the series, he surprised everyone and confirmed he was coming back to direct the new film, which was confirmed on his official website.

Bay promised the new film will have a “different feel” and feature predominately new actors. Well, rumor has it that the lead role will be given to a female. Usually the female was the pretty thing to look at, dressed in barely any clothing and an amazing body to hold against Sam Witwicky in the eminent danger, but no more! The lead will be played by a female. That’s right, make way for the women!

Female to Play Lead Role: A High Schooler

According to Spoiler TV, the character is set to be a high school senior, whose boyfriend is a Texas race car driver. Fitting, since the movie will be based on the alien robot toys created by Hasbro. That has me wondering, will there be transformers to drive in this new film? And who will be in all the fast-action scenes? The heroic female lead or race car driving boyfriend, who has experience driving fast cars. Only time will tell.

By using a female lead it will give the film a fresh new perspective, which is what Michael Bay is going for. It will be able to appeal to a broader audience, once again focusing on the high school demographic. And so powering for the women audience, who will see a female lead as opposed to the pretty play thing. Yes, women can drive fast cars and shoot guns too.

The new film will pick up where the third one left off, somewhere in Chicago. My hope’s that I will still get plenty of robot wars, high-speed chases, and a nice young couple in love.

What’s Transformers without Optimus Prime? Although a different perspective is promised for the new film, it has been confirmed that Peter Cullen will come back to voice the character of Optimus. Bay stressed that Cullen would come back to voice him, recently saying that when he heard Cullen’s voice it gave him chills.

That leaves me wondering if Lincoln Park will also make some songs for the new movie? They’ve had some very popular hits to come out of this film they made for the franchise soundtrack. Hopefully they will, I know my brother will be pleased.

Can You Guess How Much the Film Will Make?

I would be surprised if the new film doesn’t make at least $800 million. If I had to guess, “Transformers 4” will bring in more money than any other film before. Transformers raked in $709 million while “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” made $836 million worldwide. Although getting mixed reviews, the third movie “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” made an outstanding $1.12 billion.
