The Oscar nominations, announced on Tuesday morning, gave movies fans all over the world something to talk about, but what did the nominees have to say?
The filmmakers from Dunkirk and Blade Runner 2049 share their official statements on their nominations – more on that later. Both films have been widely considered technical achievements, but how do they match up to their fellow nominees, like War for the Planet of the Apes and Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Looking at the predictions in this article, the odds seem to be in favor Dunkirk and Blade Runner 2049 going home with an Oscar or two.
