5. Strider Hiryu (Strider series) vs. Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin’s Creed series)
Our Fighters: Strider Hiryu, the protagonist of the Strider series, Hiryu is what every ninja should aspire to. Hiryu’s story revolves around his battle against the evil Grandmaster Meio, and taking down the Grandmaster’s evil empire. Hiryu is definitely prepared for anything, with his tonfa-like blade called Cypher, which is known to cut pretty much anything, a climb sickle which allows him to climb any wall, and a horde of robotic beasts to aid him in battle. Hiryu also has a great power set: being strong enough to slice through limbs with his bare hand, being fast enough to reach supersonic speeds, enough to out run machine gun fire, explosions, and aircraft cannon fire, being able to teleport, and being able to create afterimages that can attack opponents due to his high speeds. However, Hiryu’s weakness is that he’s a fragile speedster. He cannot take hits, so he relies on evasion.
Ezio Auditore di Firenze, one of the protagonists of Assassin’s Creed, is known as the Mentor of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins. Ezio lived a colorful life to say the least. Ezio had survived with his mother and sister when the Templar Order assassinated the rest of his family, since then he had learned the ways of the assassin, and spreading the ideas of free will and independence in Florence, Venice, and Rome during the Italian Renaissance. Ezio also has a rapport with significant figures of history, such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Christopher Columbus. Ezio has developed many skills as an assassin, such as being able to climb and leap off of tall buildings without injury, able to see with the sight of an eagle, being able to assassinate someone without being caught. Using his assortment of weapons, such as hidden blades and a hidden gun, a crossbow, smoke grenades, longswords, poison, and maces. Ezio however is still just a baseline human, with the same weaknesses, and in his old age, dies of a heart attack.
Why are they Fighting: Both are assassins. They both are the best in their field, now it’s time to see who is better.
Predicted Winner: It’s pretty obvious here. Strider Hiryu has a significant advantage here with his superhuman power, Ezio’s equipment and parkour may give him a field advantage but that can only delay the inevitable. With Hiryu’s speed and robot beasts, that field advantage can easily be overcome, and while Ezio requires equipment to defeat opponents, and Hiryu can simply handle foes with his bare hands. Therefore, Hiryu wins this battle by a mile.
