Following a batch of leaked images that hit the web recently Ubisoft has confirmed the existence of Assassin’s Creed Unity. The trailer doesn’t include much in the way of gameplay but it definitely shows off the setting of the upcoming game. This time players will be leaping and climbing all over Paris around the time of the French Revolution. I think this is a cool place for them to take the franchise and it wasn’t one that I was expecting. The French Revolution is another huge event in history for Ubisoft to mine for interesting historical figures and locations. I know I wasn’t the only one that heard “Assassin’s Creed in Paris” and immediately pictured myself taking a sweet eagle’s dive off the top of the Eiffel Tower. Here’s hoping that one of the side missions has me helping a former convict turned factory owner and his adopted daughter escape from a vindictive cop out for revenge. Assassin’s Creed Unity has no official release date yet but is scheduled to arrive holiday season 2014 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
