This week, our heroes experience their crappiest day yet in The Jungle: a treacherous dive into the sewers beneath the Red Light District.
They seek a staff topped with a white spider to exchange it for the release of their newfound ally, Ziggy Starchild, only this staff is guarded by a horrendous beast at the end of a series of tunnels, channels and offshoots – all of which holding their own dangers. Among some of these are fierce wererats with fiendish appetites, skeletons with a bone to pick and a pesky shapeshifter with a particularly sticky tongue.
But, strangely enough, it isn’t all bad in the sewers. Our heroes also find a treasure chest full of oddities and trinkets and a dildo. More impressively, Karnov the Pale is able to identify and converse with two little machines from another plane of existence – the power of rolling a natural 20 on an Arcana check.
However, the further they descend, the stench of waste and rot worsens. And a little child’s voice all the while tries to lure everyone into the ever-filthy water. What lies at the end of these tunnels and tricks? A horrifying creature you’ll have to see to believe on this week’s episode of The Dungeon Folks!
