Welcome back, Divergent fans. Today we are going to continue our preparation for the release of the Insurgent movie on March 20, 2015!
In January, we re-read Insurgent in preparation for the movie. This month we are re-reading Divergent. The format of this re-read will be a little different from the Insurgent re-read, because the Divergent movie has already been released! The point of re-reading Divergent is to refresh us on what goes on before we get to Insurgent. So on that note, we’ll be focusing on what happened in the book versus the movie to hypothesize what we can expect from the Insurgent movie.
I’ll be doing this re-read in two posts: We’ll read the first half of Divergent (Chapters 1-20) for February 21st and the second half (Chapters 21-39) for February 28th. I’ll be posting recaps and video blogs with my best guesses as to what we can expect from Insurgent based on what happened in Divergent, both the book and the movie.
And don’t forget, to sum up the Divergent Series re-read, March 1st will be a re-watch of the Divergent movie, because we will finally be in the release month of Insurgent. I’ll be live-tweeting the movie, and would love for people to join in! Join me at @LRW2014 and @TYFOfficial!
