For those wondering where that sequel to Libba Bray’s brilliant book, The Diviners, is, we finally got some deets about it!
First, the sequel has a title: Lair of Dreams. I love that title, definitely feels very apt to the story, while giving off the right vibe.
Second, Lair of Dreams has a cover, which you can see below! It looks like The Diviners series got a new makeover. I also posted the new Diviners paperback cover too. Personally, I’m not a fan of the new covers. I thought the original cover for The Diviners was stunning and exemplified the atmosphere of the novel perfectly. While these new covers are bright and eye-catching, they look a bit hokey. Clearly, this has become another reason to not judge a book by its cover because the story Bray conjures up with this series is not to miss!
Last and finally, Lair of Dreams has an official description!
The second book in the New York Times bestselling series showcases a new evil descending on New York City. After a supernatural showdown with a serial killer, Evie O’Neill has outed herself as a Diviner. Now that the world knows of her ability to “read” objects, and therefore, read the past, she has become a media darling, earning the title, “America’s Sweetheart Seer.” But not everyone is so accepting of the Diviners’ abilities…
Meanwhile, mysterious deaths have been turning up in the city, victims of an unknown sleeping sickness. Can the Diviners descend into the dreamworld and catch a killer?
Ahh! Even if the cover isn’t exactly the bee’s knees, that description has me pumped for the next Diviners installment! Lair of Dreams hits shelves in April 2014.
