I’m a huge fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Lux series. I read Obsidian, Shadows and Onyx within hours. Therefore, I’m pretty excited for the next book in the series, Opal. A few weeks ago, we revealed the official cover for Opal, and now we’re revealing the book trailer!
I’m not crazy about book trailers. I understand they’re working on low budgets, but the production quality is usually too hokey for me to take seriously. That has been the case with the past Lux series trailers. But the thing that makes me watch them is Pepe (the guy who plays Daemon and Dawson) because he’s so hot. (Totally shallow, I know!) The Opal trailer is probably the vaguest of them all. It begins with a series of images and clips recapping Obsidian and Onyx. It finally moves into Opal with some very dramatic music and lots of “fades to blacks.” It doesn’t give away much about Opal’s plot. However, it does say a lot about the tone. I have a feeling this book is going to be much darker than the previous novels and will end with a tortuous and possibly heartbreaking cliffhanger.
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens to Katy and Daemon next. Opal, the third book in the Lux series, hits bookstores on December 18th. You can preorder it now at the following places: Amazon & Barnes and Noble. Read more about Opal and Jennifer L. Armentrout after the jump!
No one is like Daemon Black.
When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well… There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.
After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different… And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.
Together we’re stronger… and they know it.
