I absolutely loved this novel! The plot was well thought out, the ending was unpredictable, the characters felt so real and it was more than easy to empathize with them and understand the decisions they made. After reading the novel, I had to share my excitement and love for it through some method. Below is exactly how I felt when reading Ellen Wittlinger’s novel “Local Girl Swept Away”:
When the book begins and I meet the characters for the first time
Watching the trio go through the tragedy of losing a friend
When Jackie tries to “console” Finn
When the truth is revealed

All in all, this novel is the perfect summer read. It’s the kind of book you can sit on the patio and sink your teeth into. I’m officially a fan of Ellen Wittlinger and can’t wait to read her other books.
