If you think the world has had enough of zombies and killer viruses, guess again. The premiere of Fear the Walking Dead is just a few weeks away, and AMC has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Walking Dead spin-off series.
Just as any good teaser trailer, the clip doesn’t show much: just a young fellow (“Nick,” played by Frank Dillane, “Tom Riddle” in the Harry Potter films) running for his life. According to some small plot details we’ve gotten over the past few weeks, Fear the Walking Dead will be set during the initial stages of the zombie outbreak, so it should be interesting to see how all this got started, and how ‘the walking living’ react to this.
“What did the world look like as it was transforming into the horrifying apocalypse depicted in The Walking Dead? This summer, AMC will answer that question with Fear the Walking Dead, an all-new original series set in Los Angeles, following new characters as they face the beginning of the end of the world.”
Fear the Walking Dead will premiere this August on AMC, with a second season airing in 2016. The series will also star Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis and Alycia Debnam Carey. And in case you are heading to San Diego this summer, be sure to be on the lookout for more info and perhaps a lengthier clip at Comic-Con!
Watch the clip below and let us know what you think!
And in case you missed it, watch below another 15-second promo released a few months ago. Again, it doesn’t show much, but we do get to see a “walker” at the end.
