Leaving us at that awfully exciting cliffhanger this past September, Outlander owes us something. And we got that something today with a short teaser–or glimpse–of the second part of season one, which premieres April 4, 2015.
The new teaser briefly highlights some key moments that are to come this season. The rising political tension between the Highlanders and English will play a big part, as will Claire and Jamie’s new relationship. (I couldn’t help but get excited over Claire’s line, “I never counted on loving you.”) So much more is in store for these characters we’ve come to know and care about.
Today’s teaser is the first of Starz’s 25 Days of #OutlanderOfferings. For the next 25 days, Starz will be debuting exclusive new content on Twitter every day, leading up to a marathon of the first 8 episodes to air on Starz on December 25th.
For those of you new to the world of Outlander: The show follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened. When she is forced to marry Jamie, a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, a passionate affair is ignited that tears Claire’s heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
Outlander may not return until April, but that doesn’t mean you should wait too long to catch up on one of the best new shows of 2014.
