Hello there Whovians! Yesterday during the World Cup Final we finally got our first full length trailer for Season 8 of the BBC show Doctor Who and our longest preview yet of Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor.
It begins with a Dalek voicing the words “Life Returns” followed by a line from Clara (Jenna Coleman), who is the first companion since Rose to witness a regeneration, saying “I don’t think I know who the Doctor is anymore.” I’m excited to see how Clara processes the change from Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor to Capaldi’s Twelfth who seems to be a much darker Doctor than we’ve seen in a while.
There’s a lot of action going on in this trailer including Dalek’s, Robots, and a T-Rex. And then there’s the Doctor asking Clara if he is a good man and her genuinely uncertain response. But Twelve is promising to right the mistakes that he’s made so I guess we will have to wait and see how that goes for him. This will be my first time watching along with everyone else as we see what persona Capaldi gives this new Doctor as I started watching a while after Matt Smith became the Eleventh Doctor.
