Comic-Con 2015: The Walking Dead and Its New Spin-Off, Fear the Walking Dead

walking dead season 6

The Walking Dead returns to Comic-Con with something a little extra this time…a new show. Before we get to TWD’s new spin-off show, The Walking Dead panel was once again entertaining, funny, and informative for fans of the show. The first big announcement was the season six premiere date: Sunday, October 11, 2015. Like last season’s finale, the premiere will be 90 minutes long and will air internationally within 24 hours of the US live airing. The exciting news was followed up by the debut of the high-stakes, thrilling trailer for season six:

Moderated by Nerdist’s Chris Hardwick (also host of The Talking Dead), the panel included cast members Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James, showrunner Scott M. Gimple, producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert, and Greg Nicotero. The cast shared thoughts on their characters and what they look forward to in the upcoming season. It was nice to see the cast share great chemistry off-screen, since we already know how interesting their dynamic is on-screen.

Below are some highlights using my live-tweets during the panel. Also, watch the video below to see the entire panel.
