After blowing the entire world away with their hit 2012 album Lonerism, psychedelic australian rock band Tame Impala is ready to release its third studio set entitled Currents, scheduled to arrive on July 17. The group shared with fans the first single of the album – “Let It Happen” – on early March, track that gave us a little taste on what to expect on the upcoming album. The eight-minute song has an upbeat rhythm that mixes a bit of psychedelic funk with electronic dance music. Not bad, right? Listen to it below:

On early April, the band released their second single entitled “Cause I’m A Man“, four-minute track that has a heavy 80’s retro vibe with the bands known psychedelic stile. You can listen to it below:

Almost a week ago, Tame Impala shared with us their third single, “Disciples“. This two-minute track is by far my favorite thanks in part to that melodic fuzz rock vibe that transports you to another place. Listen to it below and find out what I mean:

Last but not least, “Eventually” came as the fourth single released just a few days ago. Continuing with that stylish fuzz rock beat, this track – with a heavier psych rock feel –  proves that the band is not afraid to mix and match their old beginnings with new genres.  Listen to it below!

Thirteen-track album Currents was written, recorded, produced and mixed by lead singer Kevin Parker in his home studio in Fremantle, Australia. After hearing these four tracks, what’s your verdict? Are you looking forward to Tame Impala’s new album? Let us know in the comments!
