The Young Folks Oscar Panel Series: Best Actor

So I think it’s pretty clear that the Best Actor race was a difficult one this year which makes the final list of nominees bittersweet, no matter how you look it. Think of a lineup with Jake Gyllenhaal, David Oyelowo, Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell and Oscar Isaac? While I’m not too certain about the Bradley Cooper nomination, I can’t deny that the five men nominated are incredibly talented and worthy of praise.

But who the hell is going to win this thing?

Check out the nominees and the video below!

Actor
Steve Carell in “Foxcatcher”
Bradley Cooper in “American Sniper”
Benedict Cumberbatch in “The Imitation Game”
Michael Keaton in “Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)”
Eddie Redmayne in “The Theory of Everything”

I think Michael Keaton in the Birdman should win this years Oscar for best actor! It would be great to see him win. He was great in this movie!

I thought that Eddie Redmayne gave an outstandingly believable performance in “The Theory of Everything”!
