A ‘Beetlejuice’ Sequel is Currently in the Works

Get ready to say his name three times again!

After much speculation, Winona Ryder confirmed Monday night that a Beetlejuice sequel is currently in the works. Ryder announced the news while visiting Late Night with Seth Meyer. It was Tim Burton and Michael Keaton who both said last year that plans for a continuation of the 1998 film were in the works.

Last December, Burton confirmed that there is a script, but nothing else has been said in regards to what the story will be for this film.

I don’t yet know how I feel about this yet. I’m excited that Burton, Keaton, and Ryder will return, but that still doesn’t mean it will be good. For now, I am going to withhold all judgment until a synopsis is released.

What do you guys think?

(Did you know that Robert Downey Jr. auditioned to be Daniel in "The Karate Kid"?) Along with a passion for books (specifically YA) and anything that has to do with pop culture, she is obsessed with Downton Abbey, Disney, glitter, Lana Del Rey, and 90's teen movies. She spends her spare time writing short stories and scouring the internet for new books to add to her never-ending wish list on Amazon. She hopes to one day work in the entertainment industry.
