Read the First 5 Chapters of ‘Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard’ + Giveaway

MagnusChaseCoverFans of author Rick Riordan are eagerly anticipating the first book in his new series, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. As a huge fan of Percy Jackson, I have to join in on the excitement because I’m curious to see how Riordan tackles Norse mythology. The first book called The Sword of Summer begins Magnus’ tale as a troubled kid, trying to survive the streets of Boston, while grieving for his mother after her mysterious death. When Magnus’ uncle tells him that the Viking myths are true and that a war is brewing which can cause the end of the world, it’s up to Magnus, who also learns that he’s the son of a Norse god, to prevent Ragnarök.

Riordan’s brave new hero is just that and I’m happy to share the first five chapters in the excerpt below. Continue reading the post for more details on the new series, as well as a giveaway!
