Bri is a 25-year-old born and raised in the swamps of Jersey. Just kidding, she lives at least twenty minutes from those swamps. She’s a publishing professional that moonlights as a writer. She enjoys going to concerts (anything from Rooney to Springsteen to NKOTBSB), roadtripping, and complaining that she truly belongs in the 1950’s, the 1920′s, or the 1980′s depending on her mood. She definitely owns more books than she should and reads every chance she gets. If you stop hearing from her, it’s because the book piles have fallen over and smothered her to death in the night. From the Record Crate: The Donnas – “Spend the Night” (2002)

Few bands can authentically pull off the level of sassy, trash-talking lyrics of the Donnas. Comprised of vocalist Brett Anderson, guitarist Allison Robertson, bassist Maya Ford, and drummer Torry Castellano (all of whom formerly went by unifying monikers Donna A,…

Album Review: Wolf Alice – “Visions of a Life”

In 2015, English alt rock band Wolf Alice launched themselves to popularity in the London music scene with a sound Clash Magazine described as “the lovechild of folk and grunge.” Their debut, My Love is Cool,  earned them comparisons to…

Album Review: The Pains of Being Pure at Heart – “The Echo of Pleasure”

It’s plain to see that The Pains of Being Pure at Heart aren’t quite the same band they were when they released their debut album in 2009–both literally and musically. The only remaining official member of the band is principal…

Album Review: Kesha – “Rainbow”

When Kesha came onto the music scene in 2009, she quickly became known for her brash party pop anthems and clever songwriting. In addition to two #1 hits of her own, Kesha had a hand in hits like Britney Spears’s…
